a5c7b9f00b A woman fights to protect her family during a home invasion. …but standard implies ordinary, nothing new, which is probably all this movie was trying to succeed at, and failed miserably, and I will assume it's because of editing and/or poor writing, there can be no other explanation for leaving out such necessary exposition. The viewer is left never understanding anything that happens, when a better production would have simply shown the audience what they needed to know.

We see the front door and a driveway, a bit of the interior, and that's it, we never see any other outside areas or doors, so are left wondering how people can suddenly get in and out of the house so many different ways and into and out of other enclosures around the house, when there is bulletproof glass and steel window screens and a high tech security system, oh and don't forget that there is an hour between the time the alarm system goes down and the police are called…

But, putting aside the fact that the house is so conveniently accessible from so many different areas we have never seen and still don't understand once we do see them, we have no explanation for the mother's actions, who appears to be trained for some kind of combat situation, but that's never explained either.

There is also no reason for the estrangement between daughter and father other than to explain how the family is not familiar with the house, but they are, so plot points are thrown in for no reason and left out for no reason.

To sum up, this film might have been a standard thriller, but fails due to nonsensical editing and writing choices. Very predictable with bad acting and not so scary villains! Coasting forlongit can on the considerable charms of its star, Breaking In is otherwise a work of profound half-assedness, running through the paces of its bare-bones framework with all the verve, energy and invention of a night-watchman winding down the last hour of his shift.
I’m so happy to see the Camera version of this movie ”breaking in”. The cinematography Cell phone antenna and the storyline of this movie are so so amazing. I already watched the Hindi version of this movie before.
